Suzanne's Spaghetti
 
2 pounds ground beef
2 medium to large onions chopped
4 cans (15 ounce each) or two 30 ounce cans of tomato sauce
3 garlic cloves minced
2 bay leaves
2 Tablespoon minced fresh basil
(or 1 teaspoon dried) but fresh is much better
1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
4 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
 
Cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion tender. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for at least one hour. Stir occasionally.
 
Serve over spaghetti or fettucine noodles.
