Dunnavant is widely regarded as one of America's leading sports authors.  His four books include the recent bestseller, The Missing Ring, which examined the undefeated, untied, uncrowned 1966 University of Alabama football team against the backdrop of a world on the brink of dramatic change. Sports Illustrated  called The Missing Ring "evocative and provocative". 

Alabama author, Keith Dunnavant will discuss The Missing Ring as well as details from his career in journalism that have taken him from his hometown of Athens, Alabama to places including New York City.  Book signing immediately following.  Copies of The Missing Ring will be onsale at the library the day of the event.

Robert Dalby , Author of the Piggly Wiggly Series

Mississippi native, Robert Dalby will be a guest speaker at the North Shelby Library in celebration of the release of the third installment in the Piggly Wiggly series.  Previous books in the series, Waltzing at the Piggly Wiggly and Kissing Babies at the Piggly Wiggly have enjoyed success as they depict life in a small Southern town.
