Anyone … interested in oceanology, science, or sea creatures would be greatly entertained by reading The Highest Tide. A young and adventurous boy named Miles, who lived on a marsh, always loved to take boat rides and look for new or rarely found sea creatures. During one of his trips to the Marshes he found a rare, giant squid, along with many other interesting creatures and became known all over for his amazing findings. This is such a fun book and gives your imagination a lot to think about. —Laura

The novel Ship Sooner is a very good story that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is the story of the hardships of a teen with a little bit of science fiction. Ship Sooner is in her early teens and can hear everything. She faces many problems involving her family and friends that are made worse by her exceptional hearing. Even if you do not love science fiction, this story is very enjoyable. It is more of a coming-of-age story than a science-fiction novel. —Gale
